Preparing for your Consultation
When arranging an appointment with Mr Malham at our private consulting rooms, our Practice Manger will provide you with all the relevant information, so that you are fully prepared for your appointment.
Mr Malham is pleased to see patients with neurosurgical spine conditions, that provide:
- A Current Referral from a General Practitioner or Specialist. These referrals are valid for 12 months or 3 months respectively, and
- Radiological Scan Reports (showing the current Neurosurgical condition). These scans must be less than 6 months old.
AND IF APPLICABLE :
- Workcover details,
- Consultation Approval Letter from Workcover.
This information will confirm whether Mr Malham can assist, and if neurosurgery/spine surgery is required.
Our staff will contact the patient for an appointment following receipt of the required information as stated above, and if neurosurgery is required.
If there is no surgical problem identified, the referring practitioner will be contacted directly by Mr Malham Rooms.
You are welcome to have someone accompany you to your appointment. However, we would not recommend having more than one person with you during your appointment.
Please make every effort to arrive on time for your appointment with Mr Malham. Late arrivals will delay the rest of the clinic and we cannot guarantee that you will be seen.
If you need to cancel your appointment, please give as much notice as possible, as you may be charged for the appointment if you fail to give notice.
